Orgasms

I was just thinking about orgasms and I just wondered how many male orgasms there were on the planet per second so of course I had a look on the net!! My gosh, this is what it came up with:

If you figure 1 orgasm per day on average, that's about 125000000 per hour.... or 2000000 every minute... or 34000 per second .... 2.3 ml of ejaculate for each male orgasmHow many gallons of semen per second? ...

I worked this out: 78 litres per second!!!!!!!!!!!

Retro

The three of us are here at Michel and Hervé's place watching a thing on France 2 and talking about how these days there is nothing but retro stuff. In the 80's we saw the real people.

Online - modern times...

The net is great. I sometimes wonder what I did before the net! So much time is spent reading, listening and just making oneself aware but...

I sometimes wonder why I only seem to be the only one online. Others come on line chat a little then close the connection. This was understandable in the past. Often the internet connection was linked to a certain number of hours on line, but today nearly everyone has unlimited connections so why do they go off line?? Beats me!

All I know is, that when I'm feeling alone and blue, there is noone there to chat to! Tant pis, that's life, I suppose. As Gilbert O'Sullivan said so well in 1972 'Alone again, naturally'!

I love you! Istvan

They say time flies... and it does!!

With all the marking I have to do at the moment , this afternoon I decided to put on a musical in the background, called XANADU.

It came out in 1980, I didn't see it then. But looking at it just now it seems so old fashioned and dated and yet it reminds me of my youth and suddenly I did a little maths:

80 to 90 ... ten years
90 to 2000 ... ten years. So twenty years
2000 to 2010... ten year.... WHAT! That make it 30 years!!!!

1980 seems like yesterday. Does this mean that I am getting really, really old!!!!

Thirty years ago. I was 26 and as young as the kids in the movie, they must all be in their fifties too!! Do I have another thirty years? Probably not! So I should make the most of every minute now and not spend hours and hours and hours correcting students' copies for PEANUTS!!

Madness, madness, madness!

Harvey Milk

I finished the report I was on and watched the film with Sean Penn 'Harvey Milk' and cried from time to time.

It must be wonderful to be someone who makes a difference. Isn't it strange that those who seem to make the most difference don't seem to be in it for themselves but for the cause: Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Harvey Milk. I hope I make a difference in my own small way. I suppose the thing is that you really have to be passionate about something to really make such a difference.

Let's make a difference!

Smoking

There has just been a bust up because of smoking. My ex and I share a flat, although for a year now he spends little time here however, when he does come over he insists on doing as he has always done, smoke inside.

For years I have told him I hate it, but that hasn't seemed to have had any influence on his behaviour with me, in fact, sometimes I get the impression that it makes him smoke even more. The thing is, we get on really quite well except for his smoking which sends me into a real tiz at times, and this evening was one. So he packed up and left.

Why do people smoke? Why do they smoke when others are around and seem to think that it is not an invasion on other people's wishes?

I seem to pick smokers as my new boyfriend is or should I say WAS a smoker. He gave up just before 12 on New Years Eve, and today, a couple of weeks later he is still not smoking. All I can do is praise him for his perseverence and strong will, as I am sure, it must not be an easy thing to do.
